I just read about a salon that closed in Rochester, NY after being opened for nearly 5 yrs and had 6 stylists working there.


This feature allows members to add a Comment and 'Like' a Facebook like feature to the Activity Stream on NZhairdressers Frontpage and Profile Pages.


I receive a note from a stylist that asked me how to deal with no-shows, and I wanted to address this to all because this is and will be a continual problem if you allow it.


NZhairdressers is using Ping.fm a simple and FREE service that makes updating your social networks a snap! Post to all of your favorite services at once!


Installed a New html Editor

Today we have  upgraded and installed a new html editor for the NZhairdressers platform. The editor is used when entering information or posts via groups, articles and blog posts.


Dreadlocks also called locks or dreads, are matted coils of hair. Dreadlocks are intentionally formed; because of the variety of different hair textures.


Over 90% of all hair products bought in the UK are bought over the counter on the high street, with Tesco recently being voted "Best haircare retailer" in the "Hair magazine awards 2007" meaning most salons are losing out on a MASSIVE amount of extra revenue. In other countries like Australia, for example, the vast majority of hair products are actually bought in-salon due to stylist and client education and stylists being seen as the hair care experts that they are.

Many trades people not only don't think about marketing as a direct link to a solid income but they don't spend any time trying to learn about marketing for themselves.
