Todd Arndt to hairdresser in Sydney showA TOP Brisbane hairdresser is set to show off his creations for Australia's leading fashion designer Alex Perry. Todd Arndt, of salon Vogue Nationale, is thrilled to be playing a key role in the show at Sydney's Fashion Festival tomorrow.
Perry's latest collection will be unveiled at the opening event. ``Alex always has beautiful flowing frocks, which are feminine and sexy, so it will be easy to create a hairstyle to complement that,'' Arndt said. ``I'm just so excited to be involved with such a huge designer who is always making headlines.''
Arndt -- voted one of the country's top 10 hairdresser by Harper's Bazaar magazine-- is the only Queensland hairdresser in the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival. He said ponytails would be a highlight of the Perry show.
``Ponytails are back in a big way and are looking very sleek but with messy, back-combed ends,'' Arndt said. For spring and summer, short blonde styles would be hot, with British model Agyness Deyn leading the way, he said.
``Hairdressers are going from the bob into a much shorter and messy look,'' Arndt said.
``Really creamy blondes are going to be sensational, as well as golden browns.
``Katie Holmes hairdresser has cut her hair shorter and it looks fantastic.''
The hairdresser will be at the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival to promote Sydney's eclectic fashion market from major department stores through to independent retail outlets.
