SCRUPLES HOSTS OVER 300 AT THE COMPANIES 25 YEAR INTEGRITY CELEBRATION HELD AT THE WORLD-RENOWNED WALKER ART CENTER IN MINNEAPOLIS
(Minneapolis, MN) – SCRUPLES Professional Salon Products, Inc. hosted over 300 beauty industry professionals from around the world at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis for their 25th anniversary Integrity Celebration.
![]() The event commemorated the companies contributions to the beauty industry through the years with a review of key moments in the company's history and the unveiling of the line's latest products in a spectacular hair show. Scruples also acknowledged the distributors that have been with them fro 25 years with a beautiful Service Award Plaque.
Founded by Frank Liguori and Jack Storey in 1983. What began as a venture between two friends with only five products has since become a major contender in the multi-million dollar beauty business with a devoted following of professional stylists from Hollywood to New York and used by major celebrities including Jennifer Garner, Debra Messing, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rebecca Romijn and Heather Locklear.
It was as former colleagues at another beauty products manufacturer that Mr. Liguori and Mr. Storey met and where they decided to create their own line. Pooling their combined forty-year experience in the industry, the two spent a year on research and development to create the first Scruples Professional Salon products.
Early on, the duo had decided that they would build a brand based simply on integrity and a commitment to the professional industry. Utilizing the most advanced scientific innovations, Scruples aims to provide only the most exceptional hair care products in the market.
Today, the company sells million’s of professional products to salons worldwide through their distributor network and are routinely featured in the leading fashion glossies and publications such as Lucky, Star, Women's Wear Daily, Redbook, Family Circle, Nikki Style, Seventeen, People and others.
The success of Scruples has paved the way for the next generation. All three of Frank Liguori's children are in the business. His son FJ Liguori, completed a business degree and joined the company just as it was beginning to take off. His daughters, Tracy Liguori and Mia Liguori McHugh followed suit.
According to Tracy Liguori, Scruples Marketing Director, "Running a family business constitutes a great deal of balance, cooperation and compromise but it is also marked by much love and pride in what we do and all that we're trying to accomplish together.
