Well Groomed Woman SecretsWhat are the secrets that well groomed women adhere to? Is it possible to achieve this look without spending a fortune? Karen Hansen, tutor of the Head first haircare and grooming course at Papanui High School, will share some of her beauty and grooming secrets.
To develop this course about well groomed women , she has drawn on her 17 years in hairdressing and giving beauty treatments. "I have designed this course to take away the mystery of how professionals create looks that many women seek to achieve," she says.
In 10 weeks she will demonstrate techniques and guide participants in giving these looks a try. "Once a woman understands some of the simple techniques, this will help her greatly with her day-to-day routines for well groomed women."
Karen Hansen will encourage students to find natural looks which help them to achieve greater confidence.
"With the natural application of eyewear and easy-care hairstyles, people can feel good and look good in less time with less stress," she says.
She advises students to bring along their own model, so that they can gain more hands-on experience.
"This is a good opportunity for people who may think they want to explore hairdressing as a career option, or for those who simply want to find ways well groomed women to enhance their looks.
"Many people discover a creative side to their personality that they did not know they had." People of all ages are welcome to attend this course. She will encourage all attendees to try new skills and become familiar with many of the products used by hairdressers and makeup artists and interested well groomed women.
"I will concentrate on things people can apply every day, as well as how to create a look for special occasions, when they are going out and want to look their best," says Karen.
Skills participants will learn include eyelash tinting, eyebrow shaping, clipper cutting, fringe trims and ends, basic hair-ups, blow waving, and the natural application of eye makeup.
"What better way to broaden your individual growth than to do something you never thought you would be able to. "Now is the time to stop saying, `I'd never be able to do that', or `It never looks like that when I do it'." For ladies who want to think of them selves as well groomed women.
