Regardless whether you're a celebrity, business executive, soccer parent or a student, your hairdresser should always ask you the following questions when you slide into their chair: Hairdressers take note!
1. Do you have the same hair goals as before, or have they changed? In what way? Your hair goal changes might include length, texture changes and styling transitions.
2. Are your hair color goals still the same or should a new plan be formulated? This is especially appropriate with the constant change of hair color trends.
3. How did your last service (cut, color, style, treatments or combination) work for you? Were there any challenges or issues which need to be addressed in this visit?
4. What hair products are you currently using to maintain your current hair cut, style, color and texture? Are the products working for you or do you have any issues with them.
5. Are you experiencing hair damage issues such as excessive split ends, rips, tears or other issues such as thinning, color fadage or texture issues?
6. Do you any special hair styling dates coming up in the next six to twelve months (engagement, weddings, parties or similar) which will benefit from a special hair colour or texture plan?
Your hairdresser should always be willing to provide suggestions for your hair. If you have a really attentive hairdresser they may even have a special file for your hair notating your own personal growth, color and texture goals.
They may even have copies of photos showcasing hairstyles or colors you have been drawn to or brought to show them your personal hair goals.
